Jean has been making jewellery since learning from master carver Chris Bone in 2002. She handcrafts her pieces in her workshop in Owhiro Bay on Wellington's wild south coast. Jean creates unique wearable artworks out of hand-cut sterling silver, gold, oxidised copper and brass - combined with recycled woods such as ebony piano keys and lignum vitae from old lawn bowls balls, jarah and rimu.
